Body Toxins Can Harm, Aloe Vera Can Heal

digestive health and skin health from aloe
If there was ever the slowest way to an unhealthy body, it's being slow or unable to release the harmful toxins that are in the body. Drinking water just may not be enough for some, so other methods are necessary.
An easy way to help along the release of toxins is a complete serving of Amla Juice and/or Aloe Vera Juice. They're delicious, natural and will also give you a long burst of energy you didn't think you had. It's great! Amla candy is also recognized as being healthy for you, but it may not give you the full benefits as Alma powder. Alma powder (made from the Alma fruit) works fantastic when it comes to naturally releasing toxins within the body. In fact, most people have discovered mixing Amla powder with Amla Juice or their Aloe Vera Juice works wonderfully. These products give off enough natural energy to help give even the slowest of mornings a turbo boost.
Triphala powder also comes highly recommended when cleansing the body of harmful toxins. Triphala powder is made up of three very powerful cleansing fruits. The Amla, Myrobalan and the Belleric Myrobalana can clean even the most stubborn of digestive systems. A teaspoon a day of Triphala powder is what's commonly recommended or prescribed.
As always, consult your family physician if you're going to use this method as a remedy. It's always best to get a doctors approval when it has anything to do with your physical health; as well as your mental health.
Amla candy, is popular with the younger generation and along with Amla Juice and Aloe Vera Juice, these can be purchased at most fine health stores. If the health store you frequent doesn't carry these fine products (especially the Amla candy) ask if they'd be willing to order some.
Although toxins are absorbed through what we eat, drink and breath, not much attention refers to the skin. That's right! Your skin is considered an organ and its constantly exposed to the elements of mother-nature and man-made. Taking care of your skin is something more people need to concentrate on. Products like Aloe Vera and an Aloe Vera fairness gel is what's commonly recommended. An Aloe Vera fairness gel is specifically used on certain specified places of the skin (mainly the face) to help relieve the skin of any blotches and blemishes. For sunburns and other mild irritations Aloe Vera may not be enough, especially if on the face or other sensitive areas. An Aloe Vera fairness gel can help sooth these problem areas.

How to Lose Body Fat and Depression at the Same Time: Fight Depression by Fighting Fat and Get Fit!

Many times we think about losing body fat because we have a wedding or high school reunion coming up.
I want to suggest that there are even more powerful reasons to zero in on how to lose body fat for our mood and for our ability to fight depression when necessary.
Depression affects a large swath of the population in the United States, some estimates go as high as 10 percent of the country which is an astounding 30 million people. Obesity is said to affect nearly 70% of the country's adults. These are shocking numbers, but it is not difficult to imagine that there might be a link between obesity and depression.
By default, I believe that obesity is driven by a lack of real food nutrition and an over abundance of processed junk food. I have rarely seen obese people who eat too many vegetables. Usually our overweight fellow citizens are scarfing down too much processed food.
One time I was with a friend who was on line in a pizza place and the patron in front of us ordered a Sicilian slice, three regular slices, an eggplant parmigiana hero, french fries, a tiramisu and after all of that, a diet coke!
It was no surprise that this customer was quite large, but the real surprise was the diet coke. At that point I thought, what is the difference?
You can usually tell what people are eating by the shape they are in.
People in real good shape are generally eating real good food. When people are not eating real good food, it stands to reason that their brains are not getting sufficient nutrition. That is what typically fuels binges, that is the body trying to push us to get the nutrients that the body wants and we mistake it for mere hunger and try to satisfy the cravings with Ben & Jerry.
When you start to eat real food, not only will your body be feeling better, but so will your mind. Once your brain is getting the nutrients that it needs, you have a much better chance of effectively managing the situations that you are facing, with a clear mind and with a positive perspective.
What comes first, depression or obesity? My experience tells me that depression can be latent and can be genetic, you do not need to be obese to be depressed, and all obese people are not automatically going to become depressed.
However, if you are already battling depression, then I urge you to think how to lose your body fat before you think of which antidepressants to take, and if you are already taking meds, then start to workout to help your overall performance and then perhaps you can come off of the medications.
Side effects of anti depressant medications are serious business. If eating better quality food, sleeping on time, managing your stress, getting in a good walk or swim every day and doing strength training, with your body weight or with actual weights, if these habits can relieve you of depression, then they are worth the time to try on.
Think of getting into physical shape before you assume that there is nothing else that can help stabilize your state of mind besides medications. There is and it is called good old common sense healthy habits.

How To Trim Your Belly By Eating What You Like

Image result for belly imagesImage result for belly imagesImage result for belly images

The one thing most of us want to get rid of today is an ugly pot belly. However, the thought of tweaking your meal plan, especially giving up some of your favorite foods, compels you to ask if the results will be worth the effort. There's good news for those who cannot tame their voracious appetite in a bid to trim the belly. You can melt the fat and flab sitting around the midsection by eating what you like. If you find it hard to believe, read on to know how it can be done.
Cook the Non-Traditional Way
Cooking procedures such as deep-frying add a few more calories to foods that are calorie-dense, naturally. You can make savories and sweets a healthier food option by simply changing the good procedure. Baking and grilling are considered better cooking options because they dispense with the need for oil, clarified butter or butter used in frying.
Experiment with Ingredients
Given the growing emphasis on controlling weight gain, almost all ingredients are available in low-fat varieties. This way you are in a position to use low-calorie ingredients without compromising on taste. It applies especially for your selections of seasonings and dressings which add that extra zest to your dish. You can also try mixing ingredients to cut the caloric value.
Healthy Fast Food
It sounds paradoxical because fast food can rarely be healthy. It is a myth. Restaurants and eateries, in a bid to cater to varied customers, have on board both nutritional and calorie-dense foods. The nutritional options are cooked the non-traditional way and also make use of low-calorie ingredients. It is a good option to investigate the food options at fast food restaurants before you order. A few eateries provide a nutritional value chart at the side of the dish to make the selection easier.
Ditch the Combos
It is more convenient to order a combo meal that has the burger, coke and chips served on one platter rather than order them separately. Combos are never good options because they bring more calories than individual dishes. To add, it is harder to control your food cravings when you have everything in front of you. Ordering the right portion size will help you trim down your belly while eating what you like. Should you feel hungry you can always go ahead and order some more.
Balance your Meals
The festive season is when most of us load all the calories; it is hard to resist the sweets and savories laid out in front of you. The key here is to balance your meals. In the days upto the event or festival, stick with a healthy diet. You can then enjoy the rich, calorie laden foods during the festivities without being guilt-ridden. The same can be done on a daily basis. If you eat a heavy meal for lunch, have a light one for dinner.
Diet Sodas
Juices with high-fructose corn syrup sweeteners and soda are loaded with calories. the number of calories present in one serving of soda is more than the amount of calories present in a banana. Diet soda, fresh fruit juice, lemon juice, tea and coffee are a good substitute.
Above all, exercise regularly or simply lead an active lifestyle. It will help burn all the calories you consume achieving a flat belly.
Thus, the bottom line is to eat, but not overindulge. You must strike a balance between a healthy diet and those tasty food goodies.

Berry good news

image

Berries from North America could help fight pancreatic cancer, research suggests – and they’re not the only ones.
Autumn is here – which means all things berry are back in fashion. Berry-coloured knits to wrap up warm with, and blackberry crumbles with custard for pud to, well, warm up on the inside with!
Berries – chokeberries, native to North America, to be precise – have also been in the news recently, after researchers from the University of Southampton and King’s College Hospital, London, found that they could work in combination with conventional drugs to kill more cancer cells, particularly in pancreatic cancer.
However, it’s still early days, and so far the research has only been carried out on cancer cells in labs, not in human trials.
“It’s far too early to say from this small laboratory study whether chemicals extracted from chokeberries have any effect on pancreatic cancer in patients, and the findings certainly don’t suggest that the berries themselves should be taken alongside conventional chemotherapy,” says Henry Scowcroft, Cancer Research UK’s science information manager.
That said, “innovative approaches are urgently needed to improve treatment for people with pancreatic cancer – a disease for which there has been precious little progress over recent decades. Cancer Research UK has made pancreatic cancer one of its strategic priorities and is funding research into all aspects of the disease.”
Nell Barrie, senior science communications manager also from Cancer Research, adds that for all the halos placed on so-called superfoods, “The best scientific evidence shows there’s no such thing as a superfood, so eating any one specific food isn’t going to help treat or prevent cancer.
“Research looking at different diets and lifestyles shows that a healthy, balanced diet is the best way to reduce your risk of cancer – with plenty of fibre, fruit and vegetables, and not too much red or processed meat, saturated fat or salt.
“Scientists are also looking at chemicals found in certain foods, to see if these could help fight cancer, but that means using carefully controlled doses, not eating kilos of berries.”
If you are going to stick to moderate portions though, you might want to try these…
:: STRAWBERRIES
Strawberries might be slipping out of season, but get a bowl or few while you can, because the ever-English berry icon is a rich source of phenols, which are thought to be cancer-preventing antioxidants and mop up free radicals (which can lead to cancer) in the blood. One of the antioxidants, anthocyanidin, is also why strawberries are so red.
:: BLUEBERRIES
The original, go-to superfood, blueberries are not only packed with vitamin C, thought to slow down mental ageing and help combat free radicals that play a role in skin wrinkles; they’re also jammed with those crucial anti-cancer antioxidants.
:: CRANBERRIES
They’ve long been known to help fight bladder infections and cystitis, but research has suggested that these bright little berries also help combat H.pylori, a bacteria associated with peptic ulcer disease and gastric cancer.
:: POMEGRANATE
Not strictly a berry, but pomegranates do have berry-sized seeds. More importantly, a few years ago, according to scientists at the University of California, the fruit contains chemicals that can potentially reduce cell damage and help kill off cancer cells in men with prostate cancer. Other research from the US, at the City of Hope cancer centre in California, suggested that ellagitannins, an ingredient in pomegranates, might help to slow the growth of breast cancer tumours.
:: BLACKBERRIES
Good in a crumble, good on their own, and very good for your health. Blackberries can boast being one of the most high-fibre fruits, apparently containing 8g in just one handful – that’s nearly a third of your recommended daily allowance. Studies and experts consistently point out that eating plenty of fibre can help reduce the risk of bowel cancer.

Obesity is one of the leading health problems in today's society. That being said, having excess weight will not only make you feel bad about yourself, it can also lead to health problems in the long run. This does not mean that one should resort to taking diet pills, surgery or skipping meals. For those who are interested in losing weight and improving their health, eating the right type of food combined with an active lifestyle will not only help shed those excess pounds, it can also make one feel awesome and healthy.
Beans
Our body needs protein to repair tissues and cells. Often, one turns to meat products to get their daily dose of protein; however, meats also contain saturated fats that are bad for our health. One alternative to meat is eating our beans, specifically black beans. Black beans are a good source of protein and a cup of these yummy beans has 15 grams of protein. Beans are also an excellent source of fiber so one would feel full longer.
Soup
Eating soup just before any meal will make you feel fuller and thus prevent you from eating more. Choose a soup that is broth-based and not cream based as the cream would add up to your calorie count. You can puree vegetables and add some leftover meat to your soup to make it taste better.
Eggs
Eggs are considered as one of the "superfoods" as they are low in calories, but contain protein, vitamins and minerals as well as mega 3 fatty acids. Studies show that one egg has about 15% of an average person's daily protein needs. A medium size hard-boiled egg has about 70 calories and the calorie adds up depending on the egg's size and how it is cooked.
Oats
Oats are one of the foods highly recommended by doctors and physicians around the world for people who are at risk of developing heart diseases. Oats are high in fiber and studies show that it helps reduce cholesterol as well as is a great antioxidant reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. What's Required in a Healthy Diet Menu?

healthy green detox juice - healthy organic green detox...Glass with fresh tomato juice isolated on white Detox dietGlasses with fresh vegetable juices in the garden Detox diet...
For anyone, who has a health issue and is looking for alternative answers to lead a healthier life here you may find some tips to start with. This is why creating and following a healthy diet menu is critical to your success. The right information and gaining knowledge on the way will help you to select from the many foods available that are going to make you healthier over time. Creating a healthy diet menu, and as well creating a meal plan that you are able to sustain for an extended time. This means the food you are changing to must taste good for you otherwise you will not continue with this to get all the benefits, although over time your taste buds will change and adjust.
To follow the menu!
If you follow the proper dietary guidelines, this may also result in weight loss or to keep a more even weight. It will provide a finer body composition, and overall better health, if this is your goal. So, considering the food you are now eating, and considering the small changes that you have to make to your diet plan, this is the right step in creating a healthy diet menu. One of the first steps to take is cutting out as much of processed foods as possible. This will be a learning curve by itself, to fully understand which are processed foods, and what is not. To reduce processed food and lowering the intake of carbohydrates is a good way to start. Consider changing to whole grains as opposed to white, avoid anything cooked or baked with white flour. By eating a high protein diet: Poultry, lean meat, fish, eggs etc. Make sure eating healthy fats, as opposed to saturated fats, and fried foods. Many people are thinking that all fats are unhealthy, that is not correct; our body needs fat to survive and to help healing. Taking a natural liquid multi supplement could also be considered to give the body more quickly the right ingredients. Why a liquid supplement? The absorption in to the bloodstream is more direct and without any loss as opposed to capsules and pills. Although, a word of caution: When using supplements, it is important being vigilant in your research if you decide to use any of them.
Small changes!
These changes may seem simple, although many people will find and discover that they are not doing these things. Simply cutting back or changing certain foods, or making small changes, meals being cooked using olive oil instead of canola oil and butter opposed to margarine. This way you are transforming your eating style to a healthy diet menu. Changes are not always easy; keeping a certain standard is choosing foods that you enjoy, and making a meal plan you are able to follow through with. One of the most common reason people fail when trying to change to the extreme. This is why crash diets to lose weight fast always fail. The mind and body must have time to change to this type of lifestyle; this is not something you are only doing for a few weeks or months. By doing this a day at a time you will find it easier to sustain the changes.
Feeling better!
Regardless of the goals you have set in mind, by just changing to some of the things pointed out above will make all the difference. There are many great benefits in following a healthy diet menu; it's the food that will make you a healthier person. From losing weight to seeing the cholesterol levels go down, and to feeling more energy every day. Each of these things is going to happen if you are willing to make the changes. It's you who will get the benefits. Feeling better is the first sign: There are so many health issues that will improve over time and as well stopping many illnesses before they even start. Our body's design is to live to 100 years plus; it's mainly the practice of sloppy eating and a sedentary lifestyle that is shortening the live of many to reach that designed level by nature.

How To Lose Weight Healthy Without Skipping Meals

Maintaining a healthy weight can be tough in our eat-and-run society where we don't pay much attention to what we are eating. We just want to grab a quick bite and get on with our work. We are addicted to junk food which can cause us to put on lot of unwanted weight. So how do you go about maintaining your weight in this modern society? Keep in mind that losing weight is mostly a balancing act. You have to burn more calories than you consume.
If you are eating more calories than what you are burning you will gain weight. So weight loss boils down to a simple equation - burn more calories than what you are consuming. There are 2 ways to do this. First method is to cut down on calories and the second method is to try and burn more calories. In the first method, you will monitor your eating habits so that you can consume lesser calories while still maintaining your current lifestyle habits.
What I recommend is a mix of both approaches. You should cut down on calorie consumption while at the same time indulge in activities that promote fat burning. When I ask you to cut down calories I do not mean that you skip meals or starve yourself. This is an unhealthy approach. The good news is that there are healthier and better ways to cut down calorie consumption.
How can you reduce calories without skipping meals? The answer is simple - cut down on those foods which are unhealthy and which do not provide enough nutrients but have lot of calories. There are many such foods which we consume on regular basis which lead to weight gain. Most of the snack items you buy from the bakery come under this category. Take the example of cakes, chips, soda drinks and other such unhealthy stuff - do they provide any health benefits? No, they don't but they contain lot of calories.
If you can manage to cut down on these unhealthy foods you can reduce calorie consumption by a great deal without needing to skip meals. When you starve yourself by skipping meals, it can cause other health problems. You are depriving your body of essential nutrients which it requires for healthy functioning. Can you drive your car when it doesn't have fuel in its tank?
So don't skip your meals or eat less than your body needs. Rather, you should eat healthy foods which are rich in nutrients but do not have many calories. I know it is not easy to suddenly make a shift in your eating habits. But you can make gradual changes over a period of time. Very soon you may find that you have got rid of unhealthy eating habits and can now enjoy a happy, healthy and fit life.

Healthy Snack - Mixed Fruit

Everyone has long-heard about the importance of eating fruits and vegetables not just once a month, or even once a week, but on a daily basis. But the problem is all too often the majority of us get into a habit of opting for quick and unhealthy ways to quench our appetite between meals. Usually this is in the form of a large bag of potato chips, 20oz bottle or soda, or one of the many famous milk chocolate candy bars.
However do you realize how damaging these types of snacks are to the body? The immediate influx of sugar alone should be should be cause for concern especially if you are overweight or borderline diabetic.
Strictly stating facts, a one 20 ounce bottle of coke has 67.5 grams of sugar. If that amount is hard to envision, think of that amount as sixteen teaspoons or 1/4 cup of sugar! Hopefully you keep that mental image in mind the next time you think about popping open a bottle of soda. Imagine what it would look like to pour a 1/4 cup of sugar into a 20 ounce drink and you can probably realize that is not going to be healthy for your body in any sort of way.
Fruits do contain fructose but whereas the soda not only has substantially more, but since it is often consumed rapidly, the body has to deal with all that sugar at once. Eating an apple is a slower process therefore the absorption of fructose is at a slower pace, one that the body, and particularly the liver can easily handle.

Naturally one of the easiest ways to get fruit into your daily nutrition is to simply take an apple, pear, or peach with you to work and enjoy at your break time. All you should do is rinse/wash the fruit well with water and wipe dry with a paper towel prior to eating.
If that is too tough on your teeth or if you prefer eating fruit that's in smaller edible pieces, you can always opt to slice it up and toss into a Ziploc plastic bag especially if it's going to be a healthy travel snack.
Eating the same type of fruit every day can get a bit monotonous which is why it's up to you to keep it fun and interesting.
Don't be afraid to try out new fruits or ones you haven't eaten in a long time. When in season, you'll find the produce section of your supermarket come alive with different options to choose from.
You can choose to enjoy 1 or 2 different fruits a day, or like this healthy work snack example, simply choose to make an assorted fruit medley which is simple to do yet provides an explosion of flavors and tastes.
Best yet, you can buy a variety of types, wash and store in freezer bags for up to 6 months which will help ensure you always have a healthy selection of mixed fruit available.

How to Incorporate More Raw Foods Into Your Diet

Not everyone wants to be a full raw vegan. However, even adding in more fruits and veggies into your diet can create amazing changes, such as increased energy and weight loss. Here are some tips to add more raw foods into your life on a daily basis.

1) Make a raw food rule such as having a raw breakfast each day. You can do a green smoothie of bananas, water or coconut water, and kale or spinach. It's quick, will jumpstart your energy for the day, and set you off on the right foot. You can also just grab some fruit, peel it, and eat it. Fruit is the ultimate fast food and very portable. Most people aren't too hungry at breakfast and eat alone. This would be the best meal to eat your raw.Make sure you eat enough though. Two bananas is only 200 calories and won't cut it. You'll be ravenous by lunch and overeat. This will lead to a slow metabolism and weight gain. Eat at least 500 calories for breakfast and get used to the abundance.

2) Pack raw foods such as fruit, dried fruit, and some nuts with you on the go, so you can always have a healthy choice. What's really frustrating is if you want to eat something healthy, but don't have any options. That's a major bummer. Our society is so out of touch with how to eat properly. There are often not many healthy raw options available when you are eating on the go. It's no wonder we have an obesity epidemic and 1 out of 2 Americans die of heart disease. It always helps to pack some raw healthy choices with you so you can always be prepared.

3) Have a healthy attitude about healthy foods. There could be all the organic raw foods underneath your face, but if you are having negative thoughts about them, you won't eat them. Focus on the benefits of raw foods. Get excited about all the amazing changes that are going to happen. Some examples would be weight loss, increased energy, clearer skin, and feeling better! Don't think that you are depriving yourself. This is an abundant lifestyle, with large portions, and you can eat as much as you want! On the other way of eating you'd always have to portion control your food anyways or else you'd balloon up. Plus, what are you depriving yourself of really? Toxins and chemicals that will make you gain weight, cause premature aging, and lethargy? Remember, it's just a different way of eating that will taste better overtime and deliver amazing changes in your life. Every time you have a negative thought about raw foods, try to create a counter argument that addresses the flip side. Such as if you think raw foods aren't as tasty, the counterargument could be that they will taste better over time and that life will be more tasty. You will have more energy, look and feel better, and have a greater vitality which will make your daily life more exciting and pleasurable. And yes your taste buds regenerate over time and acquire a taste for the raw foods.
